As it is the last book of the series I had my expectations through the roof. It backfired on me... I was a bit disappointed with it. I don't know, I was expecting more. It is still a very good book though!
THE WORLD: Same as in previous books.
CHARACTERS: As per usual, the main characters are Gansey, Ronan, Adam, Noah (who is key but is barely present), and Blue. No more info needed because you all know them already. They're the main characters but side characters also share chapters and time through out the story, specially Maura, Artemus, Mr. Gray, Piper, who we all know from previous books and a new addition, Henry Cheng, a fellow raven boy from Aglionsby who develops a sudden friendship with Gansey and Blue.
LOVE: The ships come full circle and they're made canon. Finally.

PLUS: The character development was amazing. The magic elements were there and could've been amazing but were not used in the right way. I really don't know what to say because the book as a whole is fantastic but it just didn't live up to my expectations... probably my fault because they were super high.
It was good to see more of the secondary characters :)
MINUS: After all the quest, all the magic, all the promises... and then we get almost nothing? It was so simple like (?) okay? Now what? I was expecting more to be honest, I just don't know what to say. I would've liked more magic-related stuff but anyway it was a good book.
I wasn't a fan of throwing Henry in the mix either. It was so sudden! Literally happened in a week and I think it would've made more sense for him to have been introduced two books ago or something.
OVERALL: 4 stars. I wish there was more magic and more mysteries involved. I thought it was rather plain but nonetheless I enjoyed the book a lot.
