SYNOPSIS: "A line that should never be crossed is about to be breached.

It puts this entire castle in jeopardy—and the life of your friend."

From the throne of glass rules a king with a fist of iron and a soul as black as pitch. Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become his Champion. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown. She hides her secret vigilantly; she knows that the man she serves is bent on evil.

Keeping up the deadly charade becomes increasingly difficult when Celaena realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. As she tries to untangle the mysteries buried deep within the glass castle, her closest relationships suffer. It seems no one is above questioning her allegiances—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.

Then one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to give up the very thing most precious to her and decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie... and whom she is ultimately willing to fight for.

Stacking The Shelves #3: German Flea Market Edition

This weekly meme is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!

Yesterday I woke up early and we went to the Flea Market in Bonn. It usually contains used things but if you know how to search you can find new unread books for 1 - 1.50 euros. The market was huge. It took me 5 hours to go through it all and I was rather picky what I check!

It is here! It is finally in my bed!

So other day I did something wicked. I ordered the hardcover book that I absolutely love from the first sight! You know how many authors I adore and how many books I find brilliant but there is one book I have seen last year because of it's cover and wanted ever since. I got around ebook in Spring and was so so amazed by it. However, I have a rule of not buying hard covers as they expensive and well I can get two paperbacks for that price.

On Wednesday that rule was broken. I just could not have a paperback of this book. I needed the hardcover. Today my hardcover arrived...with a surprise!

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

Back from vacations

I'M BACK FROM MY VACATIONS!

How's everyone?

I spent my vacations in Spain with my family and a girl from Colorado (USA), Meg, who was there for two weeks with us and it was great! I didn't read much but I had time to finish Throne of Glass and Secbra and now I'm reading The Art of Racing in the Rain because that's Meg's favorite book.

That's all I wanted to say. Did I miss anything important? also, reviews are coming!

SYNOPSIS: Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne… it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.
