Happy Sunday, friends! Welcome to Sunday Portraits, where we give a face to our beloved book friends!
Today we have: White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland:
Angel Crawford
Angel Crawford lives with her redneck father in the swamps of southern Louisiana. She’s a high school dropout, addicted to drugs and alcohol, and has a police record a mile long. But when she’s made into a zombie after a car crash, her addictions disappear, except for her all-consuming need to stay “alive”… wiki
Angel Crawford
I was a little surprised by Angel's character. As self-described White Trash, she really wasn't all that much "trash". She simply thought herself a loser, and didn't try harder than a hand's reach. But as stories progress, one has to admit, for a woman with this many troubles, she's really doing her very best.
She's blonde, and small, and petite, and a zombie. To save her from death, for she died overdosing, when someone added a date-rape drug into her already riddled system, another person, an anonymous benefactor who didn't think she deserved to die like that, turned her into a zombie, and even got her a job in the morgue.
