BLURB: From Charlaine Harris, the bestselling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that’s how the locals prefer it...
Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It’s a pretty standard dried-up western town.
There’s a pawnshop (someone lives in the basement and is seen only at night). There’s a diner (people who are just passing through tend not to linger). And there’s new resident Manfred Bernardo, who thinks he’s found the perfect place to work in private (and who has secrets of his own).
Stop at the one traffic light in town, and everything looks normal. Stay awhile, and learn the truth...

I adore Charlaine Harris books! She is the queen of Urban Fantasy!

THE WORLD: Okay so if you are familiar with Sookie world then it is really the same here just different location. Basically Sookie and all the character we are familiar with from True Blood series happily living in their little houses and this time we focus on people of Midnight. It is really just a little town with a gas station, magic shop, a dinner and some antique shops. Oh and nail salon. If you are not familiar with True Blood then this world is basically the world where vampires have came out of hiding as well as other paranormal creatures. Or at least it is known they exist.

CHARACTERS: I personally managed to fall in love with the whole Midnight town, Charlaine Harris just does it to me. I love every single one of them! But let's go into a little bit more detail. The main character is Manfred and he is a psychic. He normally works online and well just moved to small and calm town to avoid unnecessary attention. Fiji is Manfred's neighbor and a witch! She seems to be a little bit arrogant in the beginning but then you cannot image the book without her. I adore Fiji. And she also has this talking cat Mr. Snuggly which is just so mean and self centered it makes you laugh every time :D We have more characters such as cold hearted Olivia and vampire Lemeul and well many more.

LOVE: Not really a center of the book, there are some intention but not yet.

PLUS: The world and the characters. They are so amazing!

MINUS: I am not sure I could find any minuses at this point.

OVERALL: A highly highly recommended book to all fans of Charlaine Harris, Urban Fantasy or in general to those who love amazing and funny characters!
