WICKED || Day 2

It is time for amazing and spooky musicals!

Only 9 days till Halloween!

Who is not familiar with this green face?

Everyone is right? Well, I was lucky enough to be able to see the musical in London this June and I thought about bringing in a small review here. It's Halloween time. It's witch season!

Wicked brings us the origins of The Wicked Witch of the West, how Elphaba became the "evil" witch and Glinda became the "good" witch of Oz. But did you know they were once friends? Shocking. And that's only the first line of the play. As the plot thickens and develops we are forced to rethink about everything we've known of Oz from the movie. We are forced to rethink what is "evil" and what is "good" because of course, it's all about the point of view.

The musical has many many songs but the one who strikes the most is the famous Defying Gravity. Powerful vocals, amazing staging, and a wowed public.

The cast truly shined. Alice was stunningly perfect as Elphaba.

I've never been a fan of Oz to be honest and part of it was that some things didn't add up. The musical, however, provides much more insight into the characters and their origins. It also changes your point of view. You had Dorothy and the good witch, now you'll have Elphaba the bad witch. Let's see who's really good or bad in Oz.

If you find yourself in London or in any other city where it is played please don't miss the opportunity to watch it! It's a great musical! I was not fully convinced at first, I thought I might not like it but NOPE! It was GREAT!

HAPPY
HALLOWEEN

 HAVE A SPOOKY READING
