SERIES SATURDAY: Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore

Series Saturday is a new meme created by us to introduce readers to new amazing series we love as well as just fangirl about them!

So today's spotlight:

Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore

This is a trilogy that is not very well known because it was published some years ago. I believe around the time The Hunger Games was on its peak so people didn't notice this trilogy. It's a good read so I highly recommend it! please mind that nowadays it will remind you of a thousand other books because YA Fantasy has blossomed but back then it was quite interesting!

So the trilogy consists of, obviously, three books but they're not completely related. They happen in the same world but each book has different main characters although there are lots of details hidden in each book related to the others and the different characters may appear. It's like The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments where in order to have the whole picture you need to read both series except that in Graceling Realm it's each book.

Graceling book blurb
Katsa has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was eight - she's a Graceling, one of the rare people in her land born with an extreme skill. As niece of the king, she should be able to live a life of privilege, but Graced as she is with killing, she is forced to work as the king's thug.

When she first meets Prince Po, Graced with combat skills, Katsa has no hint of how her life is about to change.

She never expects to become Po's friend.

She never expects to learn a new truth about her own Grace - or about a terrible secret that lies hidden far away...

Hannah hasn't read them yet (I recommend them) and I read them back in 2012 more or less so I need to re-read them in order to write reviews but I'm quite sure about the ratings. I gave 5/5 to Graceling, 3/5 to Fire and 4/5 stars to Bitterblue. Overall it was an enjoyable series!
