SERIES SATURDAY: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Series Saturday is a new meme created by us to introduce readers to new amazing series we love as well as just fangirl about them!

So today's spotlight:

Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas

There are four books currently released plus one novella. Is there going to be more? Yes, at least two more books! Whoop whoop!

Throne of Glass book blurb
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for four years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

Laura and I have read all four books so far but not the novella Assassin's Blade. Yes, shame on us! But the original four books, oh Laura's and my opinions cannot be more different. I personally, loved every single book and to me it just keeps getting better and better! I was shipping Celaena and Chaol so much but then boom Rowan happens and oh well...bye bye Chaol. Laura on the other hand cannot stand Rowan hehehe. She is a sworn Dorian fan! We could literary talk all day or do you call it arguing about our ships, so much fun! And the feels! But for me this series is also very important because Sarah J. Maas created this amazing character Manon, she is a witch but oh no, not the type of witch you imagine. She is such a badass! My feeling towards Manon could be summarized into this 'weeeeeeeee whoop whoop weeeeeee!' then add a lot of jumping around and jup, that is me when it comes to Manon! So yeah you see, there are amazing characters and very powerful ships in this series. What else there is? Oh better ask me what is not there. We have amazing world, we have war, we have magic, we have fae and assassins. We have demons and kings. We have labor camps and dark dark secrets. Really, when you think of something amazing I guarantee you, that is in this series!

So let's give three whoop whoop hurray to the amazing Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas!
