Saturday Tag

Hello my fellow readers and blog followers, today is a very special day here at P.S.I Love That Book blog, because today we are launching a new tag - Saturday Tag !!!

Every Saturday we will do a fun tag and list or categorize books and we'll get to know each other a little better!

So Laura and I are starting this Saturday's Tag with an amazingly fun tag:

As you might know by now, all three of us are huge Harry Potter nerds, so without a question we all have taken the Sorting Quiz at Pottermore and HannahCassie and I were sorted into Ravenclaw and Laura is a Gryffindor. Thus, below Laura and I present you books that we think every Gryffindor and Ravenclaw would read and enjoy!

Books Every Ravenclaw Would Enjoy
1.  Sherlock Holmes Series by Conan Doyle

These books are filled with mystery, puzzles and a case that needs to be solved! A true dream for the nerdy, witty, puzzler that a Ravenclaw student is! What is more, I think the witty and humorous banter between Holmes and Watson would bring a grin to every Ravenclaw person.

2. Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon

These historical fiction novels are filled with hilarious jokes and wonderful representation of history. As Ravenclaw's are naturally prone to studies, learning history by reading this book would be a pure joy. Also, time traveling I imagine would also set a sparkle to a Ravenclaw mind!

3. Salt to the Sea/Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys

Coming back to the learning aspect of being a Ravenclaw, I believe each house member would enjoy these books just to broaden their horizon on knowing as much as possible about different parts of the world and how they were affected by wars and to learn about different cultures in general.

5. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy  by Douglas Adams

As an academics based house I believe Shakespeare's written word would be highly accepted and perhaps even quoted from time to time, for 'Something wicked this way comes' to me would be something a Ravenclaw student would say seeing Gryffindor and Slytherin fighting.

Books Every Gryffindor Would Enjoy

1.  Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Like the synopsis reads about this book: "A convict with a thirst for revenge, A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager. A runaway with a privileged past. A spy known as the Wraith. A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums. A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes" doesn't it sound like something every Gryffindor would like? An unusual group of criminals and an impossible heist! This duology has it all.

2. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

This is the first book of a (supposed) series of four books. The main characters are Laia and Elias who would have to risk everything for freedom. It is a very fast-paced book with lots of action, risky and dangerous scenes that any Gryffindor would appreciate.

3. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

Probably a MUST read for everyone, not only Gryffindors, but I think Gryffindors would enjoy all the perseverance and bravery displayed by the characters in this book. It is the perfect book to remind you that you are capable of doing much more than you (and other people) think.

5. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

6. Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore

7. All for the Game by Nora Sakavic

We hope you enjoyed the tag as much as we did  while doing it. Let us know what would your Hogwarts House read?
