Series Saturday is a new meme created by us to introduce readers to new amazing series we love as well as just fangirl about them!
So today's spotlight:
The Selection by Kiera Cass
Very famous book series in YA and Contemporary. HannahCassie is reading The Elite right now and well... I wish her the best because it's the worst book of the series in my opinion...
The books are very easy and fast to read. The plot is all about The Selection process though and a bit of other problems so don't go looking for complexity. I think these books are perfect for light reading in summer or during a vacation break or also during a reading slump.
I should say that the first three books are about America and Maxon while the last two are about... err someone else (spoiler alert) :P
If you haven't read the first 3 books please do not read anything about the last 2. Not even the summaries or you will spoil yourself.
The last book of the series will be The Crown and it will be out May 3rd this year!

The Selection book blurbFor thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.
Let's say that this series is unstable from an opinion point of view. Seems like you either like it or not. In my case I gave 5/5 to The Selection, 3/5 to The Elite, 5/5 to The One, and 4/5 to The Heir. For me it was overall good but I guess you should judge by yourself because like I said I've seen all kinds of opinions and ratings, no need to look further because Hannah had a different opinion than mine ;)
