SYNOPSIS: After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

HANNAHCASSIE's REVIEW

I have heard so many amazing opinions about this series. I love Sarah J. Maas from The Court of Thorns and Roses and own Throne of Glass for rather some time. But it was always my "Medicine against reading slum". I was not really in reading slum but Laura was reading it and I decided well it is time.

Sarah J. Maas is a genius. She is so brilliant. And have you guys seen her and JessieTheReader interview on youtube? She is just wow, my wow number one!

THE WORLD: The world in this book is set in country of kingdoms. Or more like one kingdom ruling over others. It is pretty amazing and it has kings and princess and court of course with all gorgeously dressed ladies. It's a little bit like the world of Jane Austin just better as it has also bad guys in it. It is just great, I love this kind of world and I noticed that lately most of the books are based in it.

CHARACTERS: The main character of the story has many names but the most famous one is Celaena Sardothien. She is everything one expects from the main character - beautiful, smart, has a very lovable heart and is also an assassin. Yes, you have heard me right, our Celaena kills for the living. She is actually the best in whole country. But what made my heart smile the most was that she is an obsessed reader! She just loves books! Then we have two male characters: prince Dorian and Captain of Guard Chaol. They both are alright in their own way I guess. Dorian is a womanizer and arrogant. Chaol is silent and serious. Who I like more? Well I wouldn't say like, I absolutely love Chaol!

LOVE: So yes, now you know I couldn't stay silent to love part. I love Chaol and I love him and Celaena. I ship them so much! Dorian must go away, seriously Dorian GO AWAY!

PLUS: I do not want to tell you much about this book because it kills the excitement but what I can tell you is that I just love it! I agree with all these countless reviews where people said They Are In Love with This Book! I agree I so agree! LUW LUW LUW IT!

MINUS: None. Zero. Nada. Nixs!

LAURA's REVIEW
This is such a popular book now, actually the whole series because a lot of people have read another Sarah J. Maas book called A Court of Thorns and Roses and then decided to read her other series which starts with this book (there is an anterior one as side book you know like the .5 in between books) or the other way around, they had read this series and then read ACOTAR. The important thing is that it's an IT book.

This book is Tumblr famous and everyone was (and still is) talking about it so I had high expectations because the series are a favorite of many many people.

THE WORLD: HannahCassie already said it but I want to add a map of it. Here it is:

CHARACTERS: The main character is Celaena Sardothien although she is also known by other names which are not relevant in this review. Celaena is an assassin, she kills following the orders of people in exchange for money obviously yeah she's a hitwoman and she is the best in the whole country. However, she was caught, sent to prison, and later on "rescued" by Dorian Havilliard, the prince, and Chaol Westfall, the captain of the guard. Those three are the main characters and most important ones. Dorian is the arrogant prince with puppy heart deep inside and Chaol is the one who trusts no one except Dorian because they're best friends. Now, I have to completely disagree with HannahCassie (we disagree a lot of times lol) because I'm more Team Dorian. He's my puppy and must be protected at all costs.

LOVE: I ship Dorian x Celaena. Sorry not sorry. I still like Chaol but he's just an average character for me. Meh.

PLUS: I liked everything to be honest. It has an intriguing plot, a strong female lead, adorable main male characters, evil character as a must, magic. IT HAS EVERYTHING!

MINUS: I kind of see a love triangle coming up and I hate triangles (and squares) UGH! I just can't deal with them!

OVERALL: I give a 4.5 star rating and I think HannahCassie gives a 5 star rating which means it is a must-read!

What did you guys think about THRONE OF GLASS?

    3. Hehe the fact that he's like a puppy is my problem with him, I hate men like that :D Choal on the other hand is a serious strong man that does not need to be protected or taken care of aka my perfection :D
